Temporary Bus Stop during closure of Carlow Bus Park for upgrade works

Update in relation to Carlow Town Bus Park. – 17th January 2023.

The reopening of Carlow Town Bus Park will be further delayed. The Contractor returned to site last week to commence the laying of the final surface however weather has ceased works. Carlow County Council will endeavour to complete the work to reopen the bus park when the weather is suitable for laying the final surface.

The temporary bus stops will stay in place until the bus park is reopened. Carlow County Council, Parking Officers will ensure that the temporary bus stops are free of all vehicles apart from buses.

Carlow County Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused customers and passengers.

Carlow Bus Park is being closed to facilitate upgrade works, from 6th September 2022 to 18th November 2022 (now delayed until further notice).  During this period, Carlow County Council have allocated TFI Local Link Kildare South Dublin a temporary Pick Up and Drop Off Bus Stop at the location detailed on the map shown below. The stop is located on Kennedy Avenue.

Signage will be erected by Carlow County Council at Carlow Bus Park detailing the dates of closure with a map of the temporary bus stop.  If you have any queries relating to this change please contact our office on 045  980281.
