To facilitate the Shackleton Museum restoration works in Athy – Kildare County Council advises that it will close the R417 Offaly Street  – from the junction with Emily Square to the junction with Meeting Lane for a period of 12 weeks commencing on Monday 6th May 2024.

During this period, the 883 Athy to Newbridge Service will no longer start and terminate at Barrow Quay. 

The service will now start opposite the CI Bar in Leinster Street and terminate outside the CI Bar on Leinster Street.
